Description of Position:
The Marketing Assistant position entails participation in the branding, online marketing and account management support of Polar Design’s diverse clients, which range from Fortune 500 companies, to non-profits, state agencies and startups. You will also spend a significant portion of your time marketing Polar Design’s own products and service through social media, search engine optimization (SEO), paid placement (PPC), as well as customer service, fulfillment and other support of our e-commerce ventures, including AnniesBid.com, SearchBoston.com and others. Over time, you may also be involved in client communications by supporting project and account managers with communications and documentation. Finally, the position also includes support of our business development activities, including research, proposal writing and prospecting.
Examples of specific duties include SEO keyword research for client and Polar Design internal web sites, social media marketing of client projects through Facebook and Twitter, answer customer service inquiries for AnniesBid.com, communicating with advertising clients for SearchBoston about placement and payment, prospecting for potential clients via LinkedIn, design document drafting, QA and testing of deliverables, to ensure they meet Polar Design’s standards, and any other support.
This entry level position position will solidify your knowledge of all critical areas of digital marketing and communications. It is structured initially as a part-time, 35 hour per week commitment. Candidates that excel in this position may be offered a full time position in account management, marketing management or business development, based on performance.
