We’re excited to share a new addition to our portfolio — not a new project, but a standout one that exemplifies our long-standing commitment to secure, user-focused digital portals for Taft-Hartley and multi-employer benefit funds.
The Carpenters Funds Administrative Office (CFAO) Benefit Website and Secure Participant Portal is now live in our portfolio. While we originally completed this project several years ago, it continues to provide essential services to more than 50,000 union members in Northern California — and serves as a prime example of the value we deliver through intuitive, responsive, and secure digital experiences. We continue to develop the portal and website including the transition underway to a new, modular and flexible CMS, October CMS as well is enhancement to our data integration practices with CFAO’s Vitech benefit administration system.
Since 2005, Polar Design has developed custom portals for benefit funds and unions (as well as other verticals such as insurance) creating platforms that are not only visually engaging and accessible, but deeply integrated with fund operations and data systems. The CFAO project reflects that legacy with:
-
A secure participant portal featuring nightly data updates
-
Mobile-first responsive design
-
Seamless access to benefits, contributions, work history, and more
- Ability to transact with the fund such as initiate vacation benefit withdrawals or update retirement ACH information
-
High user satisfaction and widespread adoption among members
We’re also thrilled to share that additional secure portals for Taft-Hartley funds are currently in development, continuing our momentum in this space. These upcoming projects build on our proven expertise — and reflect a growing demand for secure, modernized digital tools in the benefit fund industry.
